The song is blasting, the sun is shining, and I have a cool drink in my hand. The cool drink of choice is my new favorite Watermelon Ginger Cooler…two ingredients, five minutes and boatloads of health benefits.
Watermelon is one of the most hydrating and alkalizing fruits which means it’s perfect for a hot summer day, or to combat the effects of an acidic diet (caffeine, sugar, alcohol, processed foods, etc). Plus…it tastes delicious! The ginger gives it a bit of a spicy kick and is also great to fight inflammation, help nausea and support your immune system.
I’m not condoning drinking alcohol, but I imagine this would not only be a tasty mixer but would help combat the negative effects of too many festivities.
