06 Nov The Easiest Dressing in the World
I eat a LOT of salads…or as I like to refer to them… “bowls of deliciousness”…it just has a better ring than “salad.” And besides, most of the salads I make don’t fall into the standard salad category anyhow- they are full of fun stuff like quinoa, persimmons, almonds, chickpeas, dates and all kinds of other goodies. But whatever the ingredients, I ALWAYS make my own dressing. Sounds fancy…but I assure you, usually it takes 1-2 minutes…if that.
Keep in mind that pretty much any vinaigrette you want to make can use this formula:
- 1 part oil
- 1 part vinegar
- 1 part honey
- Additional flavor…lemon, orange, raspberries, dijon etc…
Yup…that’s pretty much it. Who needs to buy dressing? Especially when most of them have tons of random ingedients that I can’t pronounce.
If you want to make the simplest and most versatile dressing in the world, use the recipe below. To spruce it up, use the recipe as a base and add whatever additional flavor you want.
